With many thanks to BT, the Dot Com Children’s Foundation held a fundraising dinner at the BT Tower in February. The sparkling event featured dancing from junior world-champions Maddie and Korey, plus an extra-special performance from Strictly stars Joanne Clifton and Giovanni Pernice. Our patron, Kristina Rihanoff, introduced the dancers and spoke movingly about why she supports Dot Com.
After the dancers spun around the floor, our esteemed guests traveled up to the famous 34th floor of the London landmark for more entertainment. They were served a delicious meal, followed by speeches from Jack Dromey MP and our CEO Sharon Evans. This gave Sharon the opportunity to personally thank Dot Com’s supporters and present them with certificates to mark their contributions to the charity.
This was followed by an exciting live auction, ably led by Derek Thompson. Some competitive bidding helped to contribute to the evening raising over £17,000 for the charity, which will be invaluable in helping get the Dot Com programme to more children across the country.
Finally, our guests were treated to 360 degree views of the capital at night, as the restaurant spun as around, over 170m above the streets of London.
With thanks to everyone who attended on the evening – we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
